Time to Decorate Barrington’s Town Scarecrow!

The annual Barrington Scarecrow Decorating contest is back again this year! Would you like Scarecrow supplies delivered to you in early September? If so, email Clancy Potts at cpotts@barrington-il.gov.

In mid-September, the Village will deliver to participating businesses/organizations a set of scarecrow-making supplies, including a hay bale, a bundle of corn stalks, burlap, and twine. You then use your own materials and creativity to create your best scarecrow by September 27.  Email your scarecrow’s photo to eventsintern@barrington-il.gov; it’ll be uploaded to the village website for voting by the community.

Finding Space in Lake Zurich to Grow

Strong growth and new opportunities required that an 83-year old Mundelein business expand in August to the Lake Zurich Industrial Park. Aleckson Insurance, under the direction of Craig Swanson, President, provides for a range of personal insurance needs, including auto, home, vacation home, flood, umbrella, boat, private plane, motorcycle and recreational vehicles.  Aleckson, an independent agency, offers products from more than 15 different insurers, depending on a family’s particular requirements. Swanson points out that his team of agents provide an initial review of a client’s personal insurance needs, as well as annual policy reviews to be certain that each family they work with has comprehensive insurance protection based on their changing needs. In addition to families, Aleckson also works with companies throughout the Chicago-area to provide business insurance services. To learn more, go to alecksoninsurance.com or call 847.566.7200.
