Even if a person doesn’t care for coffee itself, there is still something inviting about a coffee house. The hum of conversation mixing with jets of air creating foam for a latte is familiar and comforting. On many days, live music emanates from a corner, while evenings might find a group deep in philosophical musings. Poetry, songwriting, political huddles plus myriad other activities offer a never-ending array of conversational enticements. Students, deep in concentration, bend over computer screens while a solitary figure sits in the corner sinking into a glorious novel. As a photographer, capturing some of the details of this magical environment was an easy decision, a true joy of exploration. I can’t wait to go back.
