Relay for Life: June 10, 2017

The 2017 Relay for Life of Barrington’s 20-year anniversary celebration will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Citizen’s Park.

This year the event is moving from Barrington High School To Citizen’s Park, providing more activities for families, kids, survivors, and supporters alike. The start time will also change to 2 p.m. making it a perfect time for families with younger children to come out and join the fun.

Relay for Life of Barrington is part of a world-wide movement celebrating the fight to end cancer. We walk together in support of and in honor of those on their cancer journey, but knowing that the American Cancer Society is there to provide help along the way.

@Properties presents $150,000 in support of Keith Relief

Recently the charitable arm of @properties presented a $150,000 check to Duncan Keith of the Chicago Blackhawks in support of Keith Relief, a local organization dedicated to alleviating the financial and emotional burdens of those suffering from medical crises. @properties co-founders Thad Wong (right) and Mike Golden (left) present Keith with the donation.

Garrison Keillor coming to Raue Center

Radio host, author and humorist Garrison Keillor will bring his stories to the Raue Center for the Arts stage in Crystal Lake at 8 p.m. Sunday, September 24.

Keillor, the host of the Minnesota Public Radio Show “A Prairie Home Companion” from 1974 to 2016, now hosts the daily radio and online program “The Writer’s Almanac”. He is also the author of numerous best-selling books including “Lake Wobegon Days”.

Eighth Annual Barrington Art Festival

Amdur Productions proudly kicks off the 2017 summer art festival season with the 8th annual Barrington Art Festival over Memorial Day weekend, May 27 and 28, 2017.

Free and open to the public, the festival will offer the work of 120 juried artists from around the world in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, photography, watercolors, wood, and more.

Guests will be able to purchase artwork and will enjoy live music throughout the weekend. Epicurean delights will also be available, along with kids’ activities.

Amdur is currently accepting applications from artists.  Apply at AmdurProductions.com. Local food vendors are also encouraged to be part of the “Bites and Sips” portion of the festival.
