Food Drive Means Christmas in July for Food Pantries

While the weather was hot and sultry, “Christmas in July” by the Barrington Chamber’s Women’s Biz Net (WBN) gathered hundreds of pounds of food, household and personal care items for local food pantries in Barrington and Cuba townships.

WBN is a network of women empowering women with monthly meetings and programs that bring relevant topics and networking opportunities, as well as a forum for building relationships.

Stylists Moving On Up

Two team members from 18/8 Fine Men’s Salon in Barrington were recently promoted to senior stylists, according to Jeff Eggert, salon owner. “Recognizing their craft, high level of customer service and commitment to the 18/8 brand, we are delighted to announce both Stephanie Foster and Rene Laria have been promoted,” Eggert said. “Both are very popular with their clients.”

Helen’s Back to School BBQ

On Saturday, August 6, the Helen Oliveri Team of Keller Williams Realty Partners welcomed neighbors from all around the community for a barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and more, to say thank you for their support. All kids were given free back-to-school supplies, and there were raffles for the adults. The Helen Oliveri team would like to thank everyone who attended and made the event a huge success.
