Save the Date! Alexian Brothers Foundation Event

It’s time to celebrate a remarkable three decades of giving back! Alexian Brothers Foundation is pleased to announce its 30th Annual Ball de Fleur, an elegant evening paying tribute to pearls of charity, faith and healing with the theme “Treasured Giving.” Cultivating the Alexian Brothers longstanding legacy of healthcare service in the Chicago area community, this premier philanthropic and social gala recognizes that every charitable gift is a treasure of incomparable value. April is National Donate Life Month

Organ procurement organizations, transplant centers, national donation organizations and other organizations sponsor special awareness events and donor recognition ceremonies to promote donation awareness and registration. National Donate Life Month was established in 2003. Every day in April, people across the U.S. make a special effort to celebrate the tremendous generosity of those who have saved lives by becoming organ, tissue, marrow, and blood donors and to encourage more Americans to follow their fine example.

BACCs Community Showcase at BHS

The 3rd Annual Barrington Area Community Showcase, a community and business expo co-hosted by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and Barrington 220 at Barrington High School on Sunday, April 3 from 11a.m. to 4p.m. The FREE public event will feature booths showcasing local resources, a “Young Artists” show, hands-on art activities for kids, youth performances, food, giveaways and the chance to win a $500 Barrington Area Shopping Spree.

“This is a community event dedicated to connecting local families with the first-rate programs and resources available in the Barrington region,” said BACC President/CEO Suzanne Corr.  “The Showcase is a family affair – with hands-on activities for all ages, business and community booths, a Young Artists Show, youth entertainment, food and refreshments and more.  Join us and learn about the dynamic resources accessible in our own backyards.”

Public admission and parking to the Community Showcase is free. Throughout the day attendees can win free raffle prizes and the Shopping Spree winner will be drawn at 3:45 p.m. The entrance to the show is off of Hart Rd. at Entrance # 34, the Main Gym/Natatorium entrance.  Hundreds of local residents are expected to attend.
