It was a cold and windy day when seemingly regular asphalt was transformed into an “art gallery” by a determined band of artists willing to withstand the elements. As the rain ceased, the trunks and doors opened up and Towner Green parking lot became Towner Green Gallery. Each artists’ vehicle served as his or her gallery and the beauty of this outdoor art show was revealed in its simplicity and versatility. Even though the weather was less than ideal, many artists bravely worked on their art while all enjoyed the camaraderie of creating and interacting with those who attended. The Long Grove Artists Guild and their artist friends agreed that the event will continue— in warmer weather!
