My favorite season is upon us. I know it’s hard to see summer go but I’ve always been excited enough for fall that I tend not to look back except, of course, when heading back to school! The anticipation of football games, crisp cool air and the beauty of the changing trees around always keep me focused forward into September.
With the change of season comes many changes to schedules—getting back to our daily routines with school, extracurricular activities, homework, earlier sunsets and bedtimes can be daunting at first but then we all settle in to what is one of the best months here in SW Lake. Football season, late summer barbeques, apple picking along with those last few days on the lake all keep us occupied as we enjoy the good weather while it lasts. This issue of SW Lake Lifestyle highlights many opportunities for you to glean the precious moments outdoors here in Lake County. Tips for tailgating, recipes and a calendar of fun await you in this issue. We’re introducing you to our Star Student department this month as well as highlighting many new local businesses we welcomed in the last few months. We’ve also included some great travel ideas for wine lovers and added a top 50 list for all of you that enjoy the ever-popular craft beers that are seemingly everywhere this season.
I hope your seasonal transition is an easy one and that you keep enjoying everything SW Lake has to offer, and I’ll see you around town!
