The coveted annual Chocolate Festival returns May 15, 16 and 17 with new extended hours from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Residents and visitors alike are invited to indulge in irresistible, luscious chocolate options from chocolate-dipped strawberries and donuts to brownies and fudge. The three-day event is filled with limitless chocolaty treats, live music, great food and distinctive shopping, all in the charming setting of Historic Downtown Long Grove. Festival entry is $5 and money raised goes to support programming and events in Long Grove throughout the year, including holiday events, local sales, and support services to keep the downtown businesses healthy and strong.

Apparently, there is a silent star of the festival that deserves time in the spotlight before the chocolate takes center stage: according to our sources, the Long Grove Confectionary makes more than 60,000 donuts for fests only!

A few fun donut facts:

Apple cider donuts are the original Long Grove Apple Haus recipe.

The Long Grove Confectionary has been making donuts for almost 40 years.

Diehard fans buy dozens and put them in the freezer to save for special occasions.
